At Byron and Byron, we understand the importance of safeguarding the planet for future generations. That’s why nearly all our British-made curtain poles are crafted from natural wood that is wholly sustainable and carbon-negative, sourced through FSC-certified suppliers.
Reducing Waste Through Quality Craftsmanship
We aim to reduce environmental waste by producing quality heirlooms that stand the test of time and can be enjoyed for many years to come. We aim to reduce the number of ‘throw-away’ parts that find their way to landfills.
Renewable Energy in our North London Factory
To reduce the transportation of raw materials from the EU, we produce 50% of our electricity from solar panels installed on our Enfield factory roof and keep travel to a minimum by consolidating trips.
In winter months, our North London plant is partially heated by wood shavings accumulated during production. In addition, we use biomass fuels derived from organic matter, such as wood pellets, sawdust, plant, and agricultural waste. Using renewable energy sources lowers the emissions of greenhouse gases into the environment.
Eco-Friendly Paints for Healthier Living
Our custom paint and finish service offers eco-friendly options to reduce harmful VOC emissions for healthier living. Their biodegradable properties have a lower environmental impact.
